Welcome

John Glenn is one of four elementary schools in the Savannah R-III School District.  John Glenn is located at 12401 County Road 438, St. Joseph, Missouri 64505.  The Savannah R-III School District, along with John Glenn Elementary School,  prides itself as having students, parents, teachers and staff that care about the children of their community.  The mission statement of our School District is to nurture, inspire, challenge and encourage every student by providing the education to become a productive member of society.  Our common goals are to put learning as a priority with respect and integrity.  The collaboration between students, parents, and teachers is the culture that we instill daily.

John Glenn has two classes of each grade level Kindergarten - Fifth Grade.  During the school day, we concentrate on meeting the goals and objectives of the Savannah R-III curriculum and to meet the new state standards.  We have excellent teachers in the fine arts programs:  Art, Music and Physical Education.  These programs are designed to offer opportunities to enhance the children's talents.  Our classroom teachers are highly qualified educators that continue to strive to find the best learning strategies to meet the needs of all children.

A strong led PTO is another  wonderful entity for the families and staff of John Glenn Elementary School. Their support offers many opportunities for the students, parents, and staff of our school.

As the principal of John Glenn, I will enjoy working with each and every one of you.  If you need anything, please feel free to contact me at (816) 279-4533 or email at kwarren@savannahr3.com.  I look forward to a wonderful year.

Sincerely,

Kelly Warren

John Glenn Elementary Principal
