June 15, 2020 Update and Finalized Plans
Following Governor Parson’s announcement June 11th, we are updating our 2020 Graduation Plans. We are continuing to error on the side of caution taking into consideration the safety and health of our students and community.
We are implementing the following expectation.
Each Senior may bring a total of 6 guests (changed from “Parents and Guardians only”) to the 2020 Graduation Ceremony. This will allow for recommended social distancing precautions to be followed. All guest must arrive with the senior to be admitted into the stadium.
The ceremony will follow social distancing recommendations of the CDC and local health department.
The 2020 Graduation Ceremony will be live streamed on the Savannah R3 Facebook page. The link to this live streaming will be provided on the savannahr3.com webpage at a later date.
Seniors and Guardians will receive an email with detailed directions on June 16th.
As a district we understand that this is not the ideal situation to recognize our 2020 Graduates, however we are grateful for the opportunity to hold our ceremony on Savage Field. All decisions have been made with the health and safety of our students and community as our top priority.
