Savannah High School FCCLA competed in STAR Event competition during virtual State Leadership Conference, March 15-16. All students received gold and will be advancing to national STAR Event competition this summer. Khia Haley and Madi Kessler competed in Sports Nutrition and received gold and were the top scorers in their category. Natalie Whipple and Brooklynne Meade competed in Entrepreneurship and received gold and were the top scorers in their category. Nadia Watkins competed in Career Investigation and received gold as well.

Savannah students opened their coffee shop called Savannah Sunrise! The students deliver coffee and snacks to the teachers every Friday morning. Through this opportunity, the students will gain valuable work experience. They will practice proper work etiquette and hygiene. The students will also get hands on practice counting change as well as see social interactions that will happen at a job. We are so excited to grow this small business and serve our teachers!
