Savannah R3 School Board approves creation of Mascot Committee

At the October 13, 2020 regular Board of Education meeting the board voted unanimously to form an ad-hoc committee for the purpose of researching and investigating the Savannah Savage mascot. The committee will be open to members of the SR3 community and will seek to balance membership with a non-bias chair and equal members from each viewpoint. Potential committee members are asked to fill out an application and make a commitment to be present for each meeting. Anyone wishing to be involved should submit a completed application before November 1. The board will select committee members prior to the November 10th regular meeting.
