If you get the chance to talk with an SMS band/color guard member, please congratulate them on their fantastic performances this weekend. After marching with the high school band in the Homecoming parade, the SMS band took to the streets of Carrollton for their first marching competition. The drumline and the color guard also performed their own indoor shows in the gym.

It was a semi-organized chaos for most of the day, but for their first time to perform competitively, our students traveled and represented our school in a positive manner. They ate their weight in donuts, hot dogs, hamburgers, and snacks. They had a great time cheering on the SHS band and watching other school groups. We are still tired, but we are so proud of them!
